TIM the Band to Perform at Dazzle Jazz
Denver, CO --- Few opportunities arise which offer a glimpse into the future of jazz and the musicians that will have a profound impact on it in the coming years. On Monday, August 18th, Chris Olsen and Steve Saviano, two members of the eclectic Time In Motion or TIM the Band will not only astound you but challenge your senses with original scores that go well beyond the norm. If you're expecting standards, you WILL be disappointed. If you're expecting new, exciting and cutting edge the night will reward your senses.
TIM the Band is currently performing shows in Colorado and California. Founded six years ago by Chris Olsen (keys) of Boulder and Dan Pearson (sax) of Eureka, CA, TIM the Band was an escape from reality. Not unlike the founders of Jazz who bared their souls with their music, TIM the Band has woven a thread of their own creating a tapestry of significant original music. "My deep love for Jazz, Funk and Fusion brought me to an edge' says Olsen, 'my choice was either step off the edge or drown into mediocrity...Dan and I both chose to step off of the edge and create TIM. Speaking for both of us, there was no other way we could reclaim or maintain our sanity except to compose, perform and record what was flowing from our souls...I don't know how to explain it. We're fortunate to have found musicians in Colorado and California that could relate and come ready to perform with clear minds and a yearning for something original."
TIM the Band offers not only it's soul but a gutsy and powerful set every time they take the stage. With Chris Olsen (Boulder) on a classic Rhodes piano and Steve Saviano (Longmont) on drums you'll see and hear why TIM the Band will energize the Jazz genre. Other members not performing Monday are Dan Pearson and JC Thompson (upright bass) of Denver due to scheduling conflicts. The challenge is clear, is Denver ready for TIM the Band?
